Keppel Singmarine has secured two offshore vessel construction and engineering contracts worth a total of S$65 million (US$48.6 million).

The first contract will see Keppel Singmarine build a multi-purpose anchor handling tug (AHT) for Seaways International. Designed by Robert Allan Ltd, the RAmpage-series vessel will boast a designed bollard pull of 100 tonnes and will be equipped with oil recovery equipment, fire-fighting capabilities and dynamic positioning.

The vessel is due for completion in the second quarter of 2016.

In a separate deal, Keppel Singmarine was awarded a contract from Nakilat-Keppel Offshore and Marine (a joint venture shipyard in Qatar between Qatar's premier gas shipper Nakilat and Keppel O&M) to provide technical services for the construction of a liftboat.

The technical services include detail and production engineering, technical and commissioning support, and procurement support.

According to the company, this is the first time that Keppel Singmarine will be providing technology solutions for a liftboat.
