'Bourbon Front', built by Zhejiang Shipbuilding in China, has become the first vessel built in Asia to incorporate a design from Ulstein, Norway.
Built for Bourbon Offshore, the 'Bourbon Front' is a PX105 OSV with a range of new designs. For example, there is an updated cargo tank arrangement which increases flexibility in arrangement. The vessel us also equipped with the latest fire-fighting and cargo handling safety arrangements.
Environmental-issues were at the forefront when the vessel's design was conceptualised. Eco-efficiency is achieved through release exhaust gas through the ship's side, just above the water line. Catalysts will reduce emissions by mixing exhaust gas with sea water. This also increases crew accommodation space.
