Premier Oil awards North Sea 3D survey contract

Shearwater Geoservices has been awarded a UK North Sea high-resolution 3D project over the Greater Tolmount Area for Premier Oil.

Polar Duchess will execute the survey, which is scheduled to start late in the second quarter of 2018.

The survey is expected to take a month and will provide high-resolution imaging of 500 square kilometres of the Greater Tolmount area. 

The Tolmount Field, located off the coast of Yorkshire, is one of the largest recent discoveries made in the Southern Gas Basin.

Premier Oil is an independent exploration and production company with oil and gas interests in the North Sea, South East Asia, the Falkland Islands and Latin America.
