Subsea 7 has confirmed that the newbuild reel-lay vessel Seven Vega has joined its fleet.
The 149- by 33-metre vessel has been purposely designed to install pipe-in-pipe, piggyback, and electrically heat-traced flowline systems, risers, umbilicals, and structures in water depths of up to 3,000 metres. It also has provisions for two work-class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
Seven Vega has begun undergoing preparations for its first project.
