Subsea 7 awarded renewables contract offshore Scotland

Subsea 7 has been awarded a contract by Irish energy company SSE Renewables for the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) of the foundations and inter-array cables for the Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm project 27 kilometres offshore Scotland.

Seaway 7, the Renewables business unit of Subsea 7, will manage the EPCI of the 114 wind turbine generator foundations and approximately 300 kilometres of associated inter-array cables.

The Seagreen development is expected to generate 1,075 MW once operational.
