

United Arab Emirates: Drydocks World has announced the delivery of jack-up platform 'Swift 10' to Swift Drilling.
Swift Drilling is a joint venture between Cofely Oil and Gas and Jack-Up Barge. The contract was valued at AED89.3833 million (US$24.3352 million).
The specialised jack up platform was built at Drydocks World's yard in Nanindah, Indonesia. The new jack up rig expected to be deployed in European waters involved in energy and wind farm installations and related activities. An additional unit 'JB-117' is undergoing construction in Graha, Indonesia.
The mono-hull self-elevating platform is built and equipped for easy start up of marine energy projects. Classified by the American Bureau of Shipping, the barge has a 1750-tonne capacity and is 67.4 metres long and 40 metres wide. The mooring system consists of four 40-tonne line pull, electric driven and four six-tonne Delta Flipper anchors.
The barge is equipped with an 80-tonne capacity offshore crane and a heli deck with a 19.5-metre diameter.
"Drydocks World has made its presence felt in the offshore conversion and construction in the oil and energy sector markets quite rapidly," said Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman, Drydocks World and Maritime World.
