Brazil's Ocyan has signed a contract with Petrobras to lease one of its six deepwater drilling rigs for a firm period of two years.
The contract will utilise the DP-equipped rig Norbe VI, which had worked under an earlier contract with Petrobras from 2010 to 2018.
The platform will arrive in Rio de Janeiro in mid-August to undergo maintenance and modification to meet the requirements of the new contract, which is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2019.
