Boskalis has concluded the acquisition of offshore-related activities from VolkerWessels.
The acquired activities consist of VBMS, Stemat and VSI (Volker Stevin International).
VBMS specialises in offshore cable installation, Stemat provides floating equipment and has a fleet that includes a cable-laying vessel and multi-purpose vessels, and VSI is an offshore foundations and maritime construction company.
Boskalis already held 50 per cent of the shares in VBMS and has acquired the remaining 50 per cent through this transaction. Boskalis and VSI acquired two offshore wind farm projects, Wikinger and Veja Mate in late 2014 and mid-2015 respectively as part of a joint venture.
The activities will be consolidated as of the third quarter this year, Boskalis has said.
