An OSV leased out to Bambini di Ravenna, an Italian maritime transport company, has been launched in the waters of the Canalbianco-Po River in Italy.

The vessel will be owned by Adriese Di Navigazione, a sister company of the ships manufacturer Vittoria Shipyard.

With capacity for up to 80 people, 'Blue Brother' is set to provide support services to petrol platforms and offshore installations and special transport.

The new prototype is 51.75 by 9.20 metres and has a top speed of 28 knots. The vessel is equipped with four Cummins KTA50-M2 engines, which produce 1,342kW each at 1,900rpm.

Construction on the €11 million (US$12 million) project started in March 2015 and was finished within a year.
