Spain: Shipyard Barreras has recently delivered a new OSV, the 'Edda Fides' to shipowner, Ostenso Rederi.
Hull number 1664 is a DNV-classed 130-metre vessel with a moulded beam of 27 metres. The 7,500DWT vessel has a fuel oil capacity of 2.661 cubic metres, a fresh water capacity of 2,584 cubic metres and a ballast water capacity of 5,371 cubic metres.
The vessel is driven by six 2,925kW main generators turning to three 2,500kW and two 2,500kW Voith-Schenider propellers.
Cargo equipment includes one 50-tonne electro hydraulic knuckle boom offshore crane, two electro-hydraulic deck cranes and one offshore gangway for service to platforms.
