Boskalis has been awarded a contract by the Port of Rotterdam Authority to build quay walls, a jetty and to assist in the construction of a new tank terminal.

The contract, won as part of a consortium with Van Hattum en Blankevoort (Royal VolkerWessels) and TBI subsidiary Mobilis, is valued at more than €100 million (US$118.4 million).

HES International is building a new storage terminal for oil products in the port.

The consortium will construct a 1,200-metre quay wall for seagoing vessels, a 1,100-metre-long quay wall for inland vessels, a 350-metre-long jetty with four berths to accommodate large oil tankers and inland vessels. It will also create riverbank and soil protection.

The project will begin in early 2018 and is expected to be completed at the end of 2019.
