Russia’s Lotos Shipyard begins building dredger quartet for local company

Russia's Lotos Shipyard has begun cutting the first metal sheets for a new series of four self-propelled dredgers ordered by local operator State Transport Leasing Company.

The Project 93.159 vessels will each have a length of 50 metres, a beam of 11.88 metres, a draught of 1.3 metres, and a maximum dredging depth of 10 metres.

The keel for the first vessel is expected to be laid before the end of September.
