OOCL's new Mobile Cargo Tracking solution, which will be available from February 1, 2010, offers users the ability to search and track their cargo any time, anywhere.
The new service can be accessed by all major mobile systems and smart phones, including but not limited to: Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Symbian, iPhone and Android.
Users may also access the service directly from http://m.oocl.com/
This is in addition to the public cargo tracking system which is available on oocl.com.
The solution is the latest feature of the online interactive My OOCL Centre platform, which was launched in March 2009, aimed at lowering business costs and saving time.
As an extra value-added service, OOCL customers can also benefit from an additional feature which displays their China 24 (CN24) customs status in the cargo tracking result.
The China 24-hour Advance Manifest Regulation means that for cargo inbound into China, the carrier must first submit the manifest to Customs first. Once it has been submitted and received by China customs, users can perform their custom declaration accordingly.
OOCL's CN24 customs status notification is extremely important and allows users to perform their customs declaration as soon as they receive the "Accepted" status.
This status will also be shown in the cargo tracking results, both on oocl.com and m.oocl.com, offering extra convenience to our customers, any time, anywhere.
