Autoship Systems has announced that its new software will come with a feature to allow ship designers to automatically export their 3D model and stability database into Autoship regardless of the 3D design package being used.
This feature allows designers to export their early stage designs into Autoload databases where they can show simulations to their own potential end-clients and then make any necessary changes as part of the design evolution.
This major release means that ship designers can make Autoload databases quickly and simply for graphical simulation without waiting until the end stage of their projects.
"In the offshore oil and gas sectors the requirement for ship owners to be able to tender for complex projects in the initial stages, sometimes even before a vessel has been delivered from the shipyard, has led to the realisation by clients that Autoload, in addition to being purchased and used for its intended purpose as a loading instrument, can now be used show the vessel operator's end clients how a vessel will perform and also to produce upfront the necessary loading, stability and crane handling documentation that is required as part of these complex tender processes," said the company.
