Veritas Petroleum Services (VPS) and DNV GL have launched a new fuel analytics solution as the result of an ongoing cooperation between VPS and DNV GL.
The tool will enable a systematic assessment of the impact of fuel quality on vessel performance. The system will become part of DNV GL's ECO Insight fleet performance management portal.
The new fuel analytics solution is an online benchmarking tool that shipping companies can use alongside ECO Insight's existing modules.
The tool will show the effects of bunkered fuel on a vessel, compare the quality of fuel with other similar vessels, and show the locations of suppliers.
