On June 10, 2024, the Royal Ocean Racing Club of Cowes on the Isle of Wight will host a full day showcasing fast-working boats demonstrating the latest technology and equipment as Speed@Seawork returns for its fifth edition.

Vessel exhibitors for June 10 include boatbuilder Zodiac Milpro, propulsion companies Proteum, Evoy and Scania, and the British Army’s 17 Port and Maritime Regiment, which will feature a new type of workboat at the event. Equipment Exhibitors will include Axnes and Marlborough Communications.

Delegates attending the event will include defence attachés, the Royal Navy, the British Army, the UK Home Office, the UK Border Force, Blue Light Services, Associated British Ports, and the Metropolitan Police.

Speakers at Speed will include UK Ministry of Defence and Procurement personnel such as those from the DE&S MOD Boats Team, the National Shipbuilding Office (NSO), and the Marine Accident Investigation Branch.

One of the NSO’s key priorities for 2024 is to help increase government procurement opportunities for SMEs across the enterprise. The NSO will provide a brief update on all the work being undertaken to achieve this ambition.

Speed@Seawork will be held at the RORC’s new clubhouse facilities above the berths at Cowes’ Trinity Landing.
