GEAR | LNG Congress 2026 to cover innovations and achieving global energy security
The 12th International LNG Congress (LNGCON) 2026 will take place from March 9 to 10, 2026, in Barcelona, Spain.
This closed-door event will gather global energy leaders for high-level dialogue and exchange, creating a space for decision-makers to explore the technologies shaping the future of LNG.
LNGCON will focus on practical innovations that will support LNG value chain, with the aim of improving operational performance.
Among the key sessions are: the role of bio-LNG for cleaner industry, mobility and shipping; infrastructure development for LNG heavy-duty transport; advanced boil-off gas compressor solutions for efficient fuelling and bunkering operations; optimising mid-scale LNG logistics: and ISO containers and virtual pipeline applications.
The business programme will open with an executive panel on LNG as a means towards achieving global energy security. The speaker line-up will feature executives, technical directors and project leads from all over the world.
Among the keynote speakers are: Eric Pelsise, Head of Gas, LNG and Biomethane Trading at Moeve; Sofoklis Papanikolaou, CEO of the Molgas Energy Group; Jens Wulff, Managing Director of Sales and Engineering at Neuman and Esser Deutschland; Jesus Losada Maseda, Business Development Manager at Reganosa.
The LNGCON 2026 agenda will offer a mix of formats – from strategic debates and panel discussions to leadership talks and tech-focused sessions. Among the examples are Baleària’s case on operating an LNG-powered ferry fleet.
A curated exhibition area will complement the programme with live demonstrations, modular booths and region-specific solutions — allowing delegates to engage directly with automation systems, hardware and operational tools.
The programme will also cover smart infrastructure, clean fuel solutions for transport and shipping, and sustainable LNG tank construction.
