Following the merger of classification societies DNV and GL in 2013, the new company has consolidated its operations in the Asia-Pacific region, opening its new headquarters at Science Park Drive in Singapore.
According to DNV GL, the relocation to a new building brings together four of the classification society's key business areas – maritime, oil and gas, energy and business assurance.
DNV GL will also be signing memoranda of understanding (MOU) with both the National University of Singapore and the Nanyang Technological University for joint R&D activities.
The new office brings together 500 employees from the company's previous four offices around the island of Singapore.
