UK: South Shields-based Marine Equipment manufacturer Solar Solve Marine has just dispatched another consignment of its anti-glare roller sunscreens to Taiwan.
The order was placed by Lung-Teh Shipbuilding, a company established in 1979 that designs and builds vessels up to 40 metres in length.
Their current construction consists of a series of three 30-metre steel hulled Customs Patrol Boats.
"This trio of patrol boats will each have 13 Solasafe roller screens installed, which has resulted in another significant order for us. Made with bronze solar film, they will reject 84 percent of the glare, 67 percent of the heat and 98 percent of the UV light that comes through the wheelhouse windows. With a five year guarantee, they will help to protect the customs officers whilst carrying out their daily routine and contributing towards reducing the vessels' carbon gas emissions," said Solar Solve's Operations Director Carl Johnson.
"Over the past few years, we have created an excellent working relationship and built up a whole lot of trust with the team at Lung-Teh that now results in regular orders."
