Ecuador: The Guayaquil Container and Multipurpose Terminal (GCMT) recently inaugurated three new quay cranes, eight rubber tired gantries (RTG) and the newly reinforced berths 1B and 1C.
The cranes are the first of their kind to be used in Ecuadorian port operations, and are the most modern containerised cargo handling equipment in the country. The event was attended by officials and local authorities from various government sectors.
