Canada: Ocean Pacific Marine Supply & Boatyard has upgraded its operation in Campbell River, British Columbia, to a 100 BFMII mobile boat hoist from Marine Travelift, having previously operated a Marine Travelift 75 BFMII.
The 100 BFMII is designed to handle commercial and pleasure craft vessels. The 110-tonne hoist can lift boats up to 30 metres long with an eight-metre beam. The boatyard has 6,000 square metres of boat parking including fully-enclosed drive-in boat sheds. Ocean Pacific is often able to perform repairs with boats still in the water using its 200 feet of working dock space, saving owners both time and money.
Ocean Pacific believes the Marine Travelift mobile boat hoist provides a higher level of service to boaters as it safely hoists vessels in and out of the water. The Marine Travelift 100 BFMII was designed and built with similar features as its 75 BFMII on-site predecessor. The optional wireless remote control increases operator visibility of the boat, launching piers and surrounding area, which in turn improves both operational safety and ensures maximum manoeuvrability.
