Liebherr-Werk Nenzing has sold its 1000th mobile harbour crane to Montoir Bulk Terminal in France, for delivery in the second half of 2012.

Liebherr has 38 years of experience in the mobile harbour crane business. In 1974, when Liebherr entered the market, demand for mobile harbour cranes was small. After 20 years of moderate but constant business, Liebherr accomplished their 100th LHM delivery in 1994. In 1996 type LHM 400 was launched, which is to date the bestselling LHM model. Its successor, type LHM 420, was introduced into the market in 2011 and can be equipped with Liebherr's state-of-the-art Pactronic hybrid drive system.

Montoir Bulk Terminal  has ordered a LPS 550-type crane, with a maximum lifting capacity of 144 tonnes and a boom length of 48 metres. The tailor-made portal solution allows for customer's needs and concurrently ensures maximum efficiency. The crane is equipped with the Pactronic system, which boosts performance and reduces emissions at the same time, each by 30 percent.
