Netherlands-based Royal IHC has sold its IHC Hytech professional diving and hyperbaric equipment business to a number of private investors to establish a new company, Pommec Hytech Holding.
The buyers plan to merge the operations of Hytech with those of Pommec and locate the two companies’ combined operations at Hytech’s location in Raamsdonksveer.
Royal IHC said it originally acquired IHC Hytech because it intended to build dive support vessels (DSVs). The company, however, said the changed market situation in the offshore market meant that this never materialised.
Gerben Eggink, CEO of Royal IHC, said the sale of Hytech successfully concludes the divestment of Royal IHC’s non-core businesses.
