Following the Nakashima Corporation's takeover of Mikado Propeller and its brand of propellers back in 2009, Australian propulsion supplier M&J Engineering and Marine Sales has announced the signing of an exclusive sales agreement with Nakashima for the Australasian region.
The deal permits M&J Engineering to distribute both Mikado and Nakashima brand propellers throughout all states and territories of Australia and New Zealand.
"We now have the luxury of utilising two separate manufacturing facilities located in the Philippines and Vietnam," said the company. "Each factory has its own specialised field, one manufacturing full-CNC propellers for high-speed commercial vessels and pleasure vessels and the other producing finished propellers up to three metres in diameter for large displacement craft.
"With all manufacturing completed in the Asia region, the process allows the Nakashima product to be very price competitive. We can now supply fast lead times to meet the deadline of our clients and the Nakashima product fits in beautifully with our other products."
M&J Engineering distribute and supply complete driveline packages, with shaft sizing up to six inches in diameter available for any international survey class in the worldwide market.
