Spain: Marine engines manufacturer Guascor has announced a five percent increase in power in its marine engines, resulting in a final range of 560 to 1800CV and IMO Tier II certification for its fast engines.
"Basically we have concentrated on the fuel injection system to optimise combustion efficiency without sacrificing reliability or engine efficiency," said the company in a statement.
"The results have been highly satisfactory for the whole range of engines from 6L to 16V cylindrical configuration and production range from 412 to 1324kW for the different duty conditions."
These engines have been adapted to run in the most demanding conditions in which a propulsion or auxiliary engine may find itself.
"We can supply the basic engine, or the whole propulsion system, comprising the propeller, nozzle, propeller shafting and reducer."
