Humphree has been awarded a contract to supply an active stabilisation package on each of two new fast patrol craft slated for the UK Royal Navy’s detachment in Gibraltar.

The packages will include interceptors and fin stabilisers to provide the craft with significantly improved handling and seakeeping ability compared to the earlier patrol vessels they are intended to replace.

Construction of the new patrol craft has already commenced at the Liverpool facilities of Marine Specialised Technology (MST) and is expected to take approximately 18 months. Both vessels are scheduled to be delivered by early 2023.
