GEAR | Alamarin-Jet introduces new waterjet model

Propulsion systems manufacturer Alamarin-Jet recently unveiled the latest waterjet in its Omega series, the Omega 37.

Although smaller than the earlier Omega 42 waterjet, the Omega 37 retains some of the earlier model’s features including a proprietary dual angle shaft for ease of installation, a frame-integrated bearing structure (FIBS) for ensuring reduced maintenance, and a modular intake geometry that allows customisation depending on the vessel’s use.

Ideally suited for vessels 15 metres to 20 metres in length, but not only for vessels in that range, the Omega 37 will use a maximum engine input of 880 kW. Vessel displacement can be up to approximately 32 tonnes in a planing speed application with twin jet configuration.
