Faroe Islands-based Christian í Grótinum has placed an order for a new fishing vessel to be built by Karstensens Skibsværft.
The 89- by 18-metre vessel, which will also be named Christian í Grótinum, will be equipped for purse seining and trawling.
Delivery is expected in January 2022. Once in service, it will be used for catching herring, mackerel, and blue whiting.
