Salmon farmer Nordic Aqua Partners reports Q2 2025 harvest of 756 tonnes
Land-based salmon farmer Nordic Aqua Partners reported a commercial harvest of 756 tonnes head-on gutted (HOG) for the second quarter of 2025. The company stated that its commercial harvest increased to the full run-rate of its Stage 1 facility in June.
The average harvest weight for the quarter was 4.6 kilograms (HOG), with a superior rate of 99 per cent. For the year-to-date, the total harvest was 1,043 tonnes (HOG).
Production during the second quarter was 730 tonnes, bringing the total biomass at the end of the period to 2,625 tonnes. Nordic Aqua noted that production in late May and early June was affected by the transfer of large fish to optimize stock size sorting. This process causes large fish to have lower appetite days after transfer, the company said.
Overall biological performance was described as strong, with good fish health and high survival rates for all batches.
Nordic Aqua Partners will release its full second-quarter report on August 26, 2025.
