Daman is about the begin work on the first of a new class of utility vessel, the UV2410.

The multi-role platform is designed for customers active in the aquaculture industry in the UK and Norway.

The 24.2-metre utility vessel has a beam of 9.5 metres and provides 120m² of unobstructed deck space – as well as accommodation for up to six crew.

The vessel has been designed for roles including maintenance support, oil recovery, diving support, buoy handling, safety stand-by, ROV support, and surveying.

As well as for aquaculture companies, Damen envisages that the 2410 could be used by port authorities, governmental organisations, and marine contractors.
