Aquaculture workboat builder Moen Marin acquires PMH Norway

Norwegian shipyard Moen Marin, supplier of aquaculture support workboats, has acquired PMH Norway, which delivers a range of technology and products for propulsion, dynamic positioning and manoeuvring systems, hydraulic systems and deck equipment.

PMH Norway will become a subsidiary of Moen Marin and will continue under the same brand name and at the same location, Bosberg west of Trondheim.

Moen Marin said the acquisition will allow it to develop and deliver vessels with far more integrated and functional total solutions.

"We know that our customers demand robust solutions with fewer integrations, and we will now be able to deliver this in our work and service boats," said Bernt Lilliestråle, CEO of Moen Marin.

"By adding the company to our portfolio, we see opportunities to further develop total products for our customers.

"Our customers are concerned with robust solutions with few integrations, and with this we further strengthen the good solutions we have in our service and work boats."

The agreement on the transfer of ownership was entered into on January 7 and the transaction has already been completed.
