Vard secures trawler contract with Luntos

Vard has been awarded a contract to design and build a new stern trawler to Russian deepwater fishing company Luntos.

The vessel will have a length of 80.4 metres, a beam of 16.7 metres, and a freezing capacity of 170 tonnes per day.

Delivery of the trawler will be in the second quarter of 2021 upon completion at Vard’s Vung Tau shipyard in Vietnam. It will operate out of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in the Far Eastern Russian Economic Fishing Zones and Bering Sea.
