Tersan Shipyard of Turkey has launched a new freezer trawler ordered by Faroe Islands-based fishing company Havborg.

The Skipsteknisk-designed will measure 87.4 by 18 metres and will be fitted with an advanced fish factory and equipment for triple trawling.

The vessel will be laid out with a fillet production factory deck, a shrimp processing line and a fish meal and fish oil plant, providing huge capacity for handling pelagic species. Fishroom capacity will be 2,250 cubic metres, giving it a 1,000-tonne capacity.

Accommodations will be available for 40 people.

Following its scheduled delivery in the fourth quarter of 2022, the vessel will be operated in Arctic waters.
