Turkish yard floats out new Arctic freezer trawler for Faroese owner
Tersan Shipyard of Turkey has floated out a new Arctic freezer trawler ordered by Faroe Islands-based fishing company JFK.
Upon completion, the Skipsteknisk-designed Gados will measure 88.1 metres long and 18.3 metres wide and will be fitted with triple trawling gear and processing facilities that include a shrimp factory, a fillet factory, and a fishmeal and fish oil plant. Accommodations will be available for 43 people.
Delivery is scheduled in the fourth quarter of 2022.
