Turkey’s Tersan Shipyard has been awarded a contract to build a new trawler/processor for Norwegian krill harvesting company Rimfrost.

The Kongsberg-designed vessel will have a length of 120 metres, diesel-electric propulsion, and accommodations for 60 people.

The trawler will be delivered to Rimfrost in the first quarter of 2022 upon completion of final outfitting at Westcon Yards in Norway. It will be operated primarily in Antarctic waters.
