Royal Greenland has placed an order for a new factory trawler to be built by Spain’s Murueta Shipyards.

The Skipsteknisk-designed vessel will be Murueta’s fourth newbuilding project for Royal Greenland. It will have an LOA of 82.3 metres, a moulded beam of 18 metres, space for 30 crewmembers, and a MAN 7,200kW main engine that will deliver a speed of 15 knots.

The trawler will be capable of operating in Arctic waters.
