Norebo’s first Project 170701 trawler set for August 31 launch

Russian shipyard Severnaya Verf has confirmed that a new trawler for local seafood company Norebo Group will be launched into the water on August 31.

Kapitan Sokolov is the first of 10 Project 170701 freezer trawlers to be ordered by Norebo from Severnaya Verf. Once completed, it will have a length of 81.6 metres, a beam of 16 metres, a displacement of 5,500 tonnes, and a hold capacity of nearly 1,500 tonnes of assorted fish products.

The vessel will be equipped for both bottom and pelagic trawling and will have a rated fish processing capacity of up to 150 tonnes per day and a freezing capacity of 100 tonnes per day.
