Luyt delivers beam trawler to Waterdance

Dutch builder Luyt Groep has delivered a new beam trawler to UK company Waterdance Fishing.

Georgina of Ladram has an LOA of 35.25 metres, a moulded beam of 8.7 metres, and an ABC 6 DZS 736kW main engine that delivers a bollard pull of 23 tonnes and a speed of 11.5 knots.

Design work was carried out by Luyt in cooperation with SC MacAllister.

The newbuild will be homeported in Devon’s Brixham Harbour and will be used to fish for sole and plaice.
