First steel cut for new pelagic trawler for Gitte Henning

Spain’s Zamakona Yards held a steel-cutting ceremony for a new trawler for Norwegian fishing company Gitte Henning on Friday, May 8.

Designed by Salt Ship Design, the 87- by 20-metre Gitte Henning will have diesel-electric propulsion and equipment for pelagic trawling.

Keel-laying is scheduled for July 2020.
