Devan’s newest beam trawler begins sea trials

Damen Maaskant Shipyards Stellendam in the Netherlands has begun conducting sea trials of a new beam trawler ordered by Belgian fishing company Devan.

The 38-metre Avanti will replace two older vessels in the Devan fleet. Delivery is scheduled for the middle of January 2022.

The vessel’s hull was completed in Poland and then transported to Damen in Stelledam for final outfitting.
