Danish skipper Jan Mathiesen has ordered a new trawler/flyshooter at Hvide Sande shipbuilder Vestvært.
Scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2020, Emmalie will be 28 metres overall, with an eight-metre beam and with a fishroom capacity for 1,200 boxes, double the capacity of his current boat.
To be powered by an ABC main engine, coupled with a large propeller and nozzle, Emmalie will be fitted with six single cabins for crew.
Emmalie’s hull will be constructed in Poland, and fitted out by Vestværft.
Rigged for seine netting and trawling, Emmalie will also have options for switching to industrial fishing.
