Cooke Seafood’s Argentina business expands shrimp trawler fleet

Wanchese Fish Company, the Argentina-based division of Cooke Seafood USA, has taken delivery of a new shrimp trawler from Spanish shipbuilder Armon.

Destiny measures 42.93 by 11.1 metres and is fitted with processing equipment and electric trawl winches.

The newbuild will be based at Mar del Plata. It will be operated primarily off southern Argentina once the country’s 2022 red shrimp season begins.
