Construction starts on new freezer trawler for Russia’s Norebo

NAVAL ARCHITECTURE WEEK

United Shipbuilding Corporation’s (USC) Severnaya Verf has begun construction of Kapitan Pyashchikov, a freezer trawler ordered by local seafood company Norebo Group.

The seventh Project 170701 vessel will be used by Norebo subsidiary Blaf to fish for herring and pollock in Far East Russian waters.

The vessel honours the late Vladimir Viktorovich Pyashchikov, a seasoned trawler skipper from Kamchatka.
