Russia’s Vyborg Shipyard has claimed that construction is nearly complete on the new Project KMT01 factory trawler Norvezhskoye More (“Norwegian Sea”).

The current scope of outfitting on the 86-metre vessel includes final painting work, equipment adjustments, and furnishing of the interior spaces. Following the works, the vessel will sail for the Baltic Sea to undergo sea trials.

Norvezhskoye More will be operated by the Arkhangelsk Trawl Fleet alongside three other near identical sisters including lead vessel Barentsevo More (“Barents Sea”), which was delivered in 2020. All four Project KMT01 trawlers were jointly designed by Russia’s Marine Engineering Bureau and Norwegian naval architects Skipsteknisk.
