Danish yard to build 88m seiner/trawler for Faroese owner

Danish builder Karstensens Skibsværft has been awarded a contract for the construction of a new purse seiner/pelagic trawler for Faroe Islands-based fishing company Krossbrekka.

The 88- by 17-metre vessel will be named Finnur Fridi. It will replace a similarly named trawler that was built in Norway in 2003.

The new Finnur Fridi is scheduled for delivery in January 2024.
