Larsnes Mek Verksted delivers seine netter

Norway’s Larsnes Mek Verksted shipyard has delivered and christened a seine netter/purse seiner to Kristoffersen Fiskebåt at its Myre yard.

Designed by Naval Consult, the 38.65-metre by 9.25-metre Gunnar K was christened by the ship owner’s wife Liss Knudsen.

Designed for seine netting and purse seining, Gunnar K has a Polish-built hull, 20-tonne winches and capacity for 20 coils of 50mm-diameter seine rope.

Gunnar K also features a 420-cubic-metre capacity in six refrigerated sea water tanks, five of which can carry live fish.

Accommodating 10 crew in four single and three twin cabins, Gunnar K also has a vacuum system for discharging catches and pumping catches from the purse seine or seine net.
