Newly-formed non-profit to fund operations of Sea Shepherd vessel

Age of Union Alliance, an environmental non-government organisation (NGO) launched in October 2021, has made a donation of around US$4.5 million to fund the operating costs of a vessel in the fleet of Sea Shepherd.

The funding will cover the operating costs of the 56-metre vessel Age of Union for a period of three years beginning in January 2022.

Sea Shepherd will initially use the vessel on patrols to prevent bycatch of dolphins off the West Coast of France until the end of March. From there, it will journey on to the West Coast of Africa, where it will conduct patrols for approximately three months.
