Norway’s Intership places repeat wellboat order with Spanish yard

Spain’s Zamakona Yards has received an order from Norwegian operator Intership for a new wellboat for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2022.

The Salt Ship-designed vessel will have a length of 76 metres, a beam of 17 metres, and a transport capacity of 2,500 cubic metres. It will also feature an energy recovery system, a large battery pack to permit hybrid operation, a reverse osmosis system, and a low operational draught to avoid major depth restrictions.

The vessel will be the second wellboat to be built by Zamakona for the same customer.
