Norwegian aquaculture company Frøy (formerly Norsk Fisketransport) has taken delivery of a new wellboat ordered from local builder Havyard Leirvik.

Asværfjord is the final unit in a series of six wellboats ordered from Havyard. Its key fish handling equipment consists of three circular tanks with a total capacity of 3,250 cubic metres.

The circular tanks enable the vessel to transport larger quantities of fish while ensuring calmer conditions and higher survival rates, thereby enhancing fish welfare.
