Norsk Fisketransport takes delivery of wellboat

Norwegian aquaculture company Norsk Fisketransport has taken delivery of a new salmon wellboat from local builder New Havyard Ship Technology.

Designed by Havyard Design and Solutions, the 84- by 16-metre Reisa is powered by a 2,999kW main engine and has a total capacity for 3,250 cubic metres in three circular tanks. Onboard facilities include a dual delousing system complete with freshwater treatment and a flushing system.

The wellboat’s hull was completed in Turkey while final outfitting was carried out at New Havyard Ship Technology’s facilities in Leirvik.
